Breakthrough in team training and accomplish the impossible! Corporate training is one of the most challenging aspects of corporate training.

The Advantages of Adventure Training

Through simulated wilderness adventures, you can learn coping skills and enhance your personal abilities. These wilderness adventures are specially designed to challenge your psychological and physical fears and obstacles by exposing you to a variety of difficult and realistic challenges that require you to overcome your own difficulties, apprehensions and so on. The most important thing is to be able to cross your comfort zone when doing these challenges. Participants need to bring their teammates to help each other to complete certain challenges. Or, in some cases, participants need to think and judge the situation on their own, without support or help, and overcome their own psychological barriers to achieve the challenge. Even people of all ages can gain different levels of insight and physical and mental development from participating in adventure activities.

What is the theory of adventure-based counselling?

Counselling through adventure means experiencing activities through nature, outdoor activities, adventure activities and so on, which in Hong Kong is mainly called “adventure training”. It is a way to enjoy the interaction with nature through different challenges in outdoor places and to challenge yourself through some challenging adventure training activities. Therefore, adventure training is not only a physical activity, but also a way to enhance your mental abilities.

Based on the benefits of training in Adventure

Teamwork

You will have to work with others to solve uncharted problems. Having teammates allows you to learn different aspects of communication, trust, and cooperation through different adventure training activities. All these different interaction skills are essential elements of teamwork skills.

Interacting with Nature

Many adventurous activities take place in the natural environment, such as rock climbing, canoeing, and zip-lining. Nature is a natural soothing agent for people. It has been scientifically proven that being in nature can reduce cortisol to reduce stress, anxiety, and other psychological problems.

Suitable for people of all ages

People of all ages, from young to old, can benefit from adventure training. In particular, adventure training is the most effective way to strengthen psychological skills, as different adventure training activities have different effects, and a wide range of outdoor activities are available to strengthen the different abilities of different people.

Breakthrough comfort zone

One of the key objectives of adventure training is to break out of your comfort zone. You will be challenged to do different things in a natural environment. These challenges may cause fear, anxiety and overwhelm because they may be difficult and problematic in ways you have never encountered before. Once you have broken out of your comfort zone and succeeded in your challenge, you will feel successful and transformed.

The benefits of adventure training for employees

  • Challenge yourself
  • Increase confidence
  • Strengthen staff relationships
  • Problem-sloving

The benefits of adventure activities allow employees to experience challenges among themselves, to find themselves in them, to challenge difficulties and problems, to constantly stimulate and exceed their limits, to enhance their competitiveness, motivation, and productivity, to reduce their own stress efficiently, and to help the competitiveness of the company.

Adventure training is a great help to people of all ages, and can be used to promote physical and mental development through different outdoor experiences.

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” Quote by Helen Keller

Assessment of risk

Understanding risk and not avoiding it because it exists is an important life skill. Through adventure activity training, you will be able to assess the risks associated with different activities by doing a variety of high and low structured activities. When one chooses to experiment with risky activities, there are bound to be gains and losses, so that one can learn from the experience of risky activities. We live in a world where risks are inherently different. The simulations in adventure training are different, and even if the activity is based on safety, people will still judge the risk or stress caused by the content of the activity. In adventure training, the participants are expected to overcome this, to try or to be stressed by the risk.

Leadership

For the introverted, cautious participant, let them take the first step to become a leader and be willing to accept and take the initiative to take on new challenges. Alternatively, some people who may not appear to enjoy or be active in the outdoors may actually be extremely resilient and optimistic when faced with some adversity in an adventure activity. When some adversity arises, some participants may not be able to react or cope with it, so one or more participants must step forward to take an active role in caring for others and taking the lead. In some cases, leadership may not always be present in the participants, but the mentors and facilitators can guide them from the sidelines, boosting their confidence and inducing them to take the first step.
